INSTALLATION

Installation is as simple as removing the plastic top dash tray, marking and drilling 4 holes into the plastic dash tray, securing the mounting platform with the included hardware, popping the panel back into place and mounting your devices.

All necessary hardware is included with the exception of a drill.

Overall a good system

Overall I’m pleased with the system. Mounts very solid and is easy to use once installed. The base is very straightforward and rather easy to install. The mounting balls are a little different story. I bought the rubigrid base and to be honest in my 2012 F150 they are impossible to install towards the passenger compartment side (away from the windshield) with the base installed. This may be info may be included in the installation instructions, I can’t say as I didn’t see any in the box and honestly they’re not really needed but be warned. If you’re ordering the same set up I have install the ball bases to the mount before you install the base and be sure to leave an opening for the two short screws to be tightened to the tray. This isn’t a negative on the product, just a heads up on the order of operations. The only negative to the product is I honestly don’t think adding a ball base would be passion my set up without removing the base to do so. Your mileage may vary.

Solid mount

I tried several suction cup type mounts for my devices, they never held for long. The Bulletpoint mount is rock solid. My only advice is to make sure you mount the AMPs ball mounts to the base before attaching the base to the tray.

Great addition to my Raptor

I was on the fence about the size and style of this mounting solution but super glad that I did order one. After a few road trips with two phones mounted to dual arms it’s a perfect complement to my Raptor interior. It keeps the phones right in place and within reach and perfect visibility.

If purchasing any of our pre-built configurations (except for Base only), you will receive everything you need to securely mount your devices.

If you opt for the base only configuration or wish to add additional devices to the RubiGrid® base, you will need 1 AMPS ball, 1 mounting arm and 1 device holder. The exception is the action camera mount where a mounting arm is not necessary.

Our DiabloM6 magnetic phone mount requires a thin metal plate affixed to the back of your phone (even on MagSafe-equipped iPhones).

Please note that this also prevents Wireless Charging.

If you require wireless charging, we offer 2 wireless charging options: our MagSafe-compatible Wireless Charger or our Wireless Phone Charger with Motorized Cradle.

The metal plate features adhesive on the back and must be attached to your phone or case. It may not stick to all phone cases. For example, many silicone cases have non-stick properties that may not work with the metal plate.

If you have a MagSafe-compatible phone and you do not want to apply the metal plate or you wish to maintain wireless charging functionality, we offer a MagSafe-compatible phone holder.
