Handheld Radio Holder with 20mm Ball

Radio check! Looking for a solid and convenient mounting location for your handheld radio or walkie talkie?

Communication out on the trails is key. Our handheld radio holder features all metal construction and a graduated slot to accommodate a wide variety of clip-style radios. The metal construction allows the "arms" to bend slightly inward or outward to provide the perfect grip for your handheld radio.

The opening on top allows for the belt clip on the backside of your radio to slide in and a notch catches the radio clip and further secures it in place.

20mm Mounting System

Like all of our mounts, our radio mount features a 20mm mounting ball and is compatible with our mounting arms (sold separately).

That means if you already have one of our bases and mounting arms, this radio mount is perfectly compatible.

Compatibility: your handheld radio’s belt clip must be installed in order to be compatible with our mount.

This item works with a variety of handheld radios / walkie talkies and has specifically been tested with:

  • Baofeng UV-5R, UV-5X3, BF-F8HP
  • Cobra 50 WX ST
  • Midland X-Talker, LXT, GXT
  • Motorola APX6000
  • Kenwood D74
  • Radioddity GD-77
  • Rugged GMR2
  • Wouxun KG-935G

Handheld Radio Dimensions

  • Distance between arms/width = 54mm / 2 1/8"
  • Depth of arms = 25mm / 1 inch

Perfect solution

I bought the normal base and phone holder, but also the handheld (ham or GMRS) radio holder. Absolutely love it.

Great for some HT's

I've only tried it with a few radios but it seems to be made for a Baofeng BF-F8HP variant of the UV-5R. That radio fits perfectly and doesn't rattle around much. A standard UV-5R with either the stock battery or extended battery has lots of slop for and aft. Using it with a Yaesu FT5D, the side supports are too narrow. Cutting off the side supports and just leaving 1/4" on either worked well by supporting the battery pack. I added some felt to reduce the rattle and it works well. It works pretty well for the radios that fit in it.
