I have several of these mount in my Gladiator and they work great. A friend of my son sold his Jeep and took all he mount out of it and my son bought two. You don’t sell this one anymore and he gave one to me. It is the best one I have for my IPOD touch. Love it completely.

idea for one handed operation
I originally bought this mount because I thought it offered one handed operation for mounting and dismounting the phone.
For 2 handed mounting and dismounting, the Ram system is easier, the X style mounting structure doesn't require counter pressure to operate, pinching the X naturally creates counter pressure to release the tension on the holder. But no one likes 2 handed mounting and dismounting of a phone for everyday life and some people have 2 phones they have to deal with.
The spring tension on the Bulletpoint Universal mount is strong, probably in order to be off-road ready. This means if someone is trying to mount a phone one handed, there's stiff counter pressure that has to be applied by the base that the holder is mounted to, or by another hand which relegates the phone holder to two handed operation.
I wish there were an add on accessory that would all a user to push the tensioned/moving portion of the holder from the other side. This could be done by bridging 2 push rods that mount in the through channels that the guide rods reside in. The rods could be magnetic so they stay retained in the guide rods channels.
