In order for our wireless phone charger to work properly, the power supply must be Quick Charge-enabled.
What does this mean?
The port or adaptor that the charging cable is plugged into must be QC2.0 or QC3.0 enabled (QC = Quick Charge).
It is important to note that some built-in USB ports found in some vehicles (even modern ones) do not supply enough power. You should verify if your vehicle is compatible prior to ordering.
If you are experiencing any issues, make sure you are using the included charging cable along with a QC2.0 or QC3.0-equipped cigarette adaptor.
Still have questions? Be sure to consult our FAQs page and look for the MagSafe section for additional information.
There are 2 possible installation methods for our MagSafe-compatible Wireless Charger.
Option 1 is to use the integrated magnet in your iPhone 12 or newer phone.
Option 2 is to secure the included metal ring to the back of your phone or case (required if you have an iPhone 11 or older).
If you have an iPhone 12 or newer with MagSafe, you can use the integrated magnet in the phone to secure it to our MagSafe-compatible wireless charger. This method is sufficient for normal daily driving on the streets.
If you take your vehicle off-road or drive over rough terrain often, we recommend applying the included metal ring for even more holding power since it is stronger than the integrated MagSafe magnet.
If you have an iPhone 8 - iPhone 11, they do support wireless charging but they do not come equipped with MagSafe.
You will need to secure the included magnetic ring to the back of your phone or case. It is held in place with double sided tape.
Simply peel off the tape backing and press the ring to the mounting surface of your phone or case. We recommend waiting at least 30 minutes to allow the double sided tape to properly adhere.
The MagSafe-Compatible Wireless Charger comes with an integrated 20mm ball which allows for a seamless connection with any of our standard mounting arms.
The placement of the metal ring is very important. If not properly located, it could interfere with the charging capabilities of the phone.
In addition, the metal ring may not adhere to all cases. For example many silicone cases have non-stick properties that may not work with the metal ring.
We recommend waiting at least 30 minutes to allow ample time for the double sided tape to properly adhere to the mounting surface. If not, the metal ring may loosen while attempting to separate the phone from the MagSafe wireless charger.
