Magnetic Dash Camera Adapter with 20mm Ball Mount

Got this hoping to get a dash cam for it but can't find any that use the ball mount. Solid arm though

A nice quick mount adapter for lighter gear. All aluminum and the magnet has decent hold power for it's size, but it really isn't up to holding much weight if that weight is offset at all or not directly vertical. It doesn't take much torque from a bump to knock heavier stuff off of it otherwise. No stars removed for that, as it was expected and there is only so much hold a magnet can provide in a junction this small.

The bigger issue for me is getting the teeth to line up properly when remounting my device. I end up fumbling around with it like trying to blindly plug into an electrical socket behind a couch. It sets in firmly once it's right, but it also seems to fight doing that with the magnet constantly pulling it into an offset position as well as the proper one. There is no easy way to automatically line the teeth up properly. A locating pin/bump and sawtooth teeth would likely work much better in that regard.

The adhesive that comes with this lasted less than a day in the Vegas heat.
